Hemerocallis 'STEPHANIE RETURNS' The 4” bicolor blossoms display a unique blend of light peachy pink, ruffled petals with a narrow, purple eye, radiant yellow throat, purple midribs, and reddish veining. The recurved sepals are a deeper rose purple. They are presented atop slender, well-branched and very heavily budded scapes in early summer followed by nearly continuous bloom for the rest of the summer. Several flower scapes are produced from each fan, and this vigorous daylily can form up to six fans per year. If you’ve had enough of Stella and are ready to try something with a softer color palette, try Stephanie!

I love the picture and will go through mine (when I get free time) and if I find any of interest, will let you know. I do remember visiting the farm, the bull (scary) and the home.

Thank you so much. You guys may recall the summer my Mom passed away (1968), that I went to spend a few weeks with you guys. I needed the distraction and you guys certainly didn't need the dude help on the farm. You brought me along to work the fields a little bit and I also went to work on the Byward market a few days. I have great memories of hard work, cousins patiently showing me the ropes (and not getting upset with me when I backed the tractor into the potato washer and knocked it over!), wonderful family meals, and much love. The photo of Mike and Isobel on the market allowed these memories to flood back. By the way, the many hostas and lillies and other perennials that we've bought from you at the Parkdale market over the years are all thriving.

I have a small collection of pre-confederation Canadian coins that I have enjoyed putting together. But this was by far my favorite find, because I didn't find it at a flea market or in a shop -- but right were it was actually lost by someone many years ago!
