Forms a huge mound of 14in long, inversely cupped (downward) leaves like a pile of small, blue umbrellas. Early growth is blue-green, but turns darker green by early summer. Thick, corrugated leaves are very slug resistant. Very pale lavender flowers appear on 40in scapes in midsummer. Awards: Best Blue Leaf Award, '87 and '98.
