An improved ‘Happy Returns’ with larger flowers and nearly continuous bloom. ‘Going Bananas’ starts to bloom about 1-2 weeks later in early summer, but it blooms nearly continuously into early fall, unlike ‘Happy Returns’ which often stops flowering in August. The 4“, fragrant, canary yellow flowers have recurved, overlapping petals and slightly ruffled margins. They open fully and symmetrically just above the semi-evergreen foliage. The plants display excellent 3-way branching, producing 10-15 well-spaced flowers per scape. Diploid.

Common Name: Daylily
Flower: Yellow/Orange/Red shades
Container: 3 quart

An incredibly vibrant variety with glowing golden orange flowers that are impossible to miss! ‘Pooh Bear’ is a taller daylily with intense golden orange blooms and burgundy eyes. The petals on the 4½” flowers are overlapping with ruffled edges, creating full-looking blooms. A narrow burgundy edge matches the eye color. This early-midseason bloomer is a robust grower with excellent landscape vigor. Another great variety from renown daylily breeder, Darrell Apps!

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies)

Early Midseason Bloomer, blooming in early July.

Rebloomer, producing a second set of flowers.

Semi-Evergreen foliage.

Common Name: Daylily
Flower: Peach shades
Container: 3 quart

A daylily that truly is wonderfully made! If you have loved mid-size, fancy daylilies like ‘Lake of Fire’, then ‘Fearfully and Wonderfully Made’ is the next variety to add to your garden. The 5½” flowers look bigger than their measured size with wide petals and piecrust edges. Coral pink blooms have rich cranberry red eyes. The cranberry red continues in the margins, where it is trimmed with a yellow edge. Well-branched scapes with lots of buds lead to excellent rebloom.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies)

Midseason Bloomer, blooming in July.

Fragrant flowers.

Dormant foliage.

Tetraploid with 44 chromosomes, twice as many as Diploids. Tetraploids tend to be bigger, stronger plants.

Common Name: Daylily
Flower: Purple Shades
Container: 3 quart

This mid-size daylily will bring a bounty of blooms to your garden. 5½” ruffled flowers are light purple with dark wine-purple eyes and matching thin edges. The color contrasts well with a bright green throat that really pops. Compared with ‘Always Afternoon’ flower color is richer and the scapes stand over a half a foot taller.

Common Name: Daylily
Flower: Yellow/Gold/Orange Shades
Container: 3 quart

‘Blazing Glory’ has 6″ golden yellow flowers with a bold burgundy red eye and matching picotee edge. Where traditional cultivars have picotee edges that bleed or fade, ‘Blazing Glory’ remains consistent with a wide margin that extends the length of the petal. Compared to ‘King of the Ages’ the flowers are ½” smaller, more golden yellow in color, and have a more pronounced eye and picotee edge; the plant is also about 6″ shorter. Well-branched scapes and high bud count will ensure a blazing display of color.

Common Name: Daylily
Flower: White/yellow Shades
Container: 3 quart

‘Marque Moon’ sets the new standard for white daylilies as its form is greatly improved. Extravagant ruffling unlike any other lends a fancy, elegant look to the blossoms. The large 5-5½”, fragrant, cream colored blossoms have a yellow throat that radiates softly out onto the petals. This yellow coloring is repeated on the picotee edge around each rounded petal. On cloudy days, you can detect a hint of peach color in the flower, and on sunny days you can see the diamond dust sparkling on the petals.

This is a heavily budded daylily that can produce an incredible 40 buds per scape. It forms a compact clump of narrow, arching foliage topped with large flowers in midsummer.
