Grass Imperata cylindrica ‘Red Baron’

This species spreads by underground rhizomes, but in a slow fashion. ‘Red Baron’ can revert back to the species and then can become invasive.  ‘Red Baron’ shows some shade of red on its leaves all season long.  Any plant that reverts to green should be removed and destroyed.
